Mike LiCausi, President
For 22 years, Mike LiCausi was Vice President of Sales for Specialty Screw Corporation in Rockford, IL.
As Vice President of Sales Mike assisted in designing and marketing parts with tight tolerances made from ferrous and nonferrous materials using his knowledge of operations such as cold forming, shaving, drilling, and roll threading. These types of parts range from seat frame bolts to EV battery and connector applications.
Other markets included firearms, lawn and garden, window hardware, and construction. Specialty’s customer base covered mostly North America with extensive experience in Mexico.
Mike worked directly with American, Asian, Canadian, and European owned customers.
Previously, Mike worked at Elco Industries/Textron Corporation for 24 years. Elco Industries was a manufacturer and importer of special cold headed parts, stampings, and plastic components. The synergy of all the parts together allowed for the experience needed to market assemblies.
He started his career as an inside sales representative. He moved to Marketing Coordinator and eventually Field Sales Representative. Field sales areas covered northwest Ohio, southern Michigan, and Detroit. His customer base included Tecumseh Products, Copeland Compressors, Chrysler and Jeep Automotive.
Management experience included Sales Administration Manager, Sales/ Operations Manager for Elco International, and Sales Manager for Precision Commercial Division. A major focus of the Commercial Division was the Business Equipment market. Travel required with these positions covered all of North America, Mexico, and the Pacific Rim. Time was spent with customers in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Mike is very family oriented and has been married for 50 years. He and his wife have two married sons and three granddaughters.
Mike is a 3rd Degree Blackbelt Instructor in Tae Kwon Do Karate. He spends leisure time golfing, boating, gardening and watching the Chicago Bears.
